Bushwick Kitchen Spicy Collection

Hails from: Brooklyn, New York

Enjoys: Banishing the age old dilemma: sweet or spicy breakfast?; bringing sweet heat to a stack of flapjacks, cocktail, or pizza slice near you

Made in small batches by: Casey Elsass of Bushwick Kitchen

Hot honey? Yup it's a thing. And it belongs on your table right next to the salt + pepper. There's not much we'd rather drizzle with abandon, except perhaps the chile-infused maple syrup that Bushwick Kitchen has also mastered. This small company's origin story begins, naturally, in a Bushwick Kitchen. It was 2014 and Casey Elsass, who worked at the Metropolitan Opera at the time, accepted a friend's challenge - start a business, any business, in 30 days. A food lover and hot sauce enthusiast, Casey began concocting condiments. A spicy honey was born and a few months later, so was a viable business. We heart the opera but heart even more this trio that's #greatonanything. Thanks for being a gambling man, Casey.
