Coconut jam? Yup, it's a thing. And even if it's the closest you get to the Caribbean this January, it's a stand-in we can get behind. Bonnie Shershow grew up in a southern California amidst groves of pomegranates, persimmons, kumquats + figs. With that bounty she learned to preserve fruit at peak ripeness. It's a skill we appreciate year-round but especially in the gray depths of winter. This trio packed with coconuts, mangos, blackberries, hot peppers and peaches reminds us that it's summer somewhere.
Details: Trio includes three 8.75 oz jams -
- Coconut Mango Jam - Luscious tropical flavors make it the perfect addition to a morning smoothie or warm muffin. Add a heaping tablespoon to a tropical drink or serve with a creamy cheese.
- Blackberry Pepper Jelly - Plump fragrant blackberries and hot habanero peppers distinguish this snappy pepper jelly.
- Peach Ginger Jam - A jam that perfectly merges the tangy and complex flavor of ginger with the unrivaled sweetness of ripe peaches. It makes an ideal condiment for duck and is equally delicious with robbiolo cheese. For an easy glaze, warm the jam with a little balsamic vinegar, port and olive oil. Simply brush on poultry before grilling.
